Neue Erkentnisse über die Gehäusegestalt von Hyphantoceras reussianum (D’Orbigny, 1850) aus dem Bereich des Hyphantoceras-Event (Ober-Turonium) von Halle/Westf.
Hyphantoceras reussianum (D’Orbigny, 1850) istmit Ausnahme des frühontogenetischen (hamitoiden) Windungsabschnittes eine gut beschriebene Ammoniten-Art des Ober-Turonium. Aufgrund neuer Funde aus dem Hyphantoceras-Event im Bereich der Subprionocyclus neptuni-Zone von Halle/Westf. werden hier neue Erkenntnisse zu Anfangswindung, Gehäusegröße, Windungsanzahl sowie Wachstumsanomalie durch parasitären Befall beschrieben.
Hyphantoceras reussianum (D’Orbigny, 1850) is, with exception of the early ontogenetic (hamitoid) whorl section, a well described ammonite species of the Upper Turonium. As a result of new finds from the Hyphantoceras-Event within the range of the Subprionocyclus neptuni zone of Halle/Westfalia, features of the early ontogenetic stages of the shell can now be described along with growth anomalies caused by parasitic infestation.
